Transcript:
Hi, Ian from Parrys Flooring Solutions here. Who doesn’t like a nice soft carpet in their house?
A lot of people nowadays are putting hard floorings throughout all the main walking areas. But in your bedrooms and your home theater, a soft carpet is still the rage. And there’s two types of soft carpets you can choose from for the style, one’s a loophole carpet with texture design.
The other one is a cut pile carpet. Basically, a cut pile carpet was a loophole when it was born, but they just cut the top off and it becomes a cut pile carpet. Loophole, carpets, fantastic, beautiful floors. They can have varying heights to do with their loop, gives them different textures, different designs, but they’re also very, very durable carpets.
They wear very, very well. Cut pile carpets in the end become a lot softer, a lot nicer, a lot nicer feel under your feet, especially for your home theaters and your main bedroom. With a cut pile carpet, in time, it can wear a lot faster than a loophole carpet because traditionally it can flatten. There’s not support there like the loops are.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to trends and carpet fashion designs. But your taste, the only way you can select carpet is to come and see, touch and feel.
So come into one of our Parrys stores, five stores around Perth, speak to one of our experts and they can explain the difference and show you all the different types and where’s the best place to lay a cut pile versus a loophole carpet.
