How to Choose the Right Flooring for Your Home | Parrys Flooring Solutions
Transcript:
Hi, Ian, from Parrys Flooring Solutions here.
What type of floors do we put in our house? That’s the biggest question that is asked by our customers. Hard floors, soft floors, waterproof or not waterproof. All these sort of ideas we have to think about when making this decision.
Here are FIVE simple steps you can follow that may help you.
One. Decide early. Your house is built from the floor up. So let’s decide what sort of floors you want, what sort of colour palette, what sort of style in regards to other things you’re going to have in your house, like the colour on your walls, some furnishings you might have, etc., etc.
Two: Think about your style, your personal style yourself. What sort of style are you trying to reflect through your floors?
Third one to consider is how durable you need your floors. What sort of lifestyle do you live in regards to needing hard floors or you want more carpet in your house.
The fourth step you want to have a look at is colour. Having dark floors will close in your rooms, but they also give you a sense of warmth. If you have a lighter coloured floor, it is going to open your house up and give a sense of space.
Fifth thing you should look at is do you have pets and or kids? What sort of lifestyle with pets and kids determines what sort of floors you’re going to have in your house as well. You need the durability and the comfort, but it’s important that they are long lasting.
So come into one of our Parrys stores. We have lots of flooring types here that suit all different types of lifestyles. Come and see one of our sales staff and they will help you with your selections.
