While we’re not weather experts at Parrys, you don’t need a degree in meteorology to work out that Perth is in for its usual run of hot days and nights come summer!

When it comes to keeping cool in the hottest months of the year, most Australian families turn their attention to air-conditioning and fans. Fewer people think about the best flooring to help bring down the heat in their home but, as we’re flooring experts, we understand how much of a part it can play in staying cool.

The truth is, hard floors don’t hold heat and are the coolest to walk on and live with, making them a clear winner for houses in a climate like Perth where it’s generally that little bit on the warmer side all year round.
