Parrys Fix My Flooring – A Worthwhile and Wonderful Winner!
As many of you will be aware, we recently went on the hunt to find Perth’s worst floor with the Parrys ‘Fix my Flooring’ competition, and with nearly 280 entries received – we saw some real beauties!
From cracked tiles to threadbare carpet, our competition truly brought out the worst of Perth and our expert judges had a hard time determining our finalists. Once we had whittled it down to the top (or bottom) five, we threw open our online voting and left it to the people of Perth to determine the ultimate winner.
That said, we would like to congratulate Karen Fletcher Grive, who was the worthy recipient of our grand prize – a $5,000 Parrys flooring makeover. In her application, Karen told us she was rendered paraplegic following an accident and found it increasingly difficult and frustrating to manoeuvre her wheelchair across all the different floor surfaces she had in her home.
After a site visit from our floor specialists, it was determined that installing over 75sqm of hybrid flooring would make a huge difference to Karen’s life, and the team soon got to work revitalising her hallways, living areas and bedrooms. After removing the existing carpet, compound levelling and concrete grinding, the floor was finally ready, and the team installed new waterproof Aquaclic Hybrid throughout.
Safe to say, life at home is now a little easier for Karen and we would like to thank her and everyone else who took the time and effort to enter our competition and it’s safe to say, keep your eyes out for the 2023 Fix My Flooring competition!
