When making your Carpet selection for your home it is also worthwhile making an UNDERLAY selection as well.
It may cost a little more for a better underlay but the advantages for your carpet include:
- Adds extra comfort and is more luxurious to walk on
- Adds extra insulation with a higher thermal rating
- Adds extra noise absorption because of a lower acoustic rating
- Extends the life of your carpet by keeping the pile looking fresh and upright for longer since it acts as a support for the carpet
- Can assist in minimising indentations marks from your furniture with its higher nominal density
